Helping people in the Borough learn how to get online

In view of the accelerating trend for access to benefits and services to be provided online, many residents who are not computer literate struggle to get benefits and services to which they are entitled. To reduce this digital exclusion we identified organisations across the borough that provide free training to help people get online or improve their digital skills and where to find free Wi-Fi and assembled a handy guide that is available in a variety of public and charitable community organisations throughout the borough.

We have committed to keeping this handy guide up to date, and in April 2019 produced the latest version, which is being used to help people claiming Universal Credit in the borough to make their online applications and set up their online accounts.
