We are currently monitoring the issues and practical problems faced by clients with mental health problems. For example, some of our clients with mental health problems find it difficult, or impossible, to cope with bills and correspondence about their benefits so that they soon have multiple debts and sanctions or stoppage of benefits due to their failure to attend appointments. Their problems multiply increasing their anxiety and depression. We are also mapping the range of local services available to help them. We then plan to investigate how we can work in partnership with other local support services to signpost our clients with mental health problems to the most appropriate services to meet their needs. In addition, we plan to contribute to the National Citizens Advice campaign to improve the integration of mental health services.
